Sun-Earth has been involved in a range of projects for the cause of poverty alleviation. In a world where the difference between access to electricity and basic infrastructure will have enormous impact on rural communities, Sun-Earth collaborates with governments and NGOs to bring energy to remote areas.
The major challenge facing remote communities is energy, especially where access to grid electricity is not likely in the foreseeable future.
Sun-Earth’s remote community partnerships.
1) In remote areas of Zhejiang province in China, Sun-Earth collaborated with Zhejiang Power Company who sponsored farmers in a solar powered generation system. There are now 50W, 100W and 160W household solar power generation systems for farmers and their families who previously lived without electricity.
2) In Naqu village, a region in remote Tibet, Sun-Earth solar panels have provided electricity generating systems. The local herders now have 100W household systems and a 20KW solar system supplies electricity to the villages.
3) Sun-Earth have so far provided 20MW of solar systems in Africa. In fact, more than 90% of the communication base stations in Africa use Sun-Earth solar modules. These systems are mainly large-scale telecommunications, collaborations with companies such as Shenzhen ZTE ZTE and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Most of these solar energy projects have been used in Africa's communications base stations, which are also power the households of local residents. At present, our components have been exported to Zambia, Mauritania, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Eritrea, Congo and other countries.
