The Ningbo Solar production facilities are an integrated value chain ensuring our production process maintains continuous improvement and our end products are of the highest quality.    

There are four main facilities for silicon, ingot, system integration and solar system production.  By uniting all segments of the solar supply chain into one vertically integrated business we control our costs while providing the production scale necessary for maintaining our competitive edge.   

Located in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, China, our silicon production facility has been manufacturing pure raw silicon since October 2007.

The factory takes up 560,000 square metres and has a total design capacity of 9000 tons per year.  This production will span three phases and each phase will have production capacity of 3000 tons per year.

We have achieved our first phase target of 3000 tons of silicon production. 

As an environmentally responsible manufacturer, we maintain a safe and clean environment for all.  Our factory has a closed loop system of extensive recycling so that we produce minimal waste.  Our chemical processes produce silicon using a chlorine free method.

In 1999, we established our ingot plant.  It is here where we research and manufacture multicrystalline silicon ingots and wafers.  Our annual capacity has reached 40MW. 

Presently, our ingot plant employs more than 500 staff.

The Ningbo solar system integration facility was established in 1978 to develop and produce all kinds of controllers and invertors used in off-grid solar systems.  Later, we focused on automated solar advanced technology. 

Our facility also provides design and installation service for our clients. 

The solar system integration facility employs more than 200 staff. 

In 2007, Ningbo Solar re-located to the Ningbo high-tech zone.  This has become the global headquarters of Ningbo Solar. 

At our production headquarters, we manufacture wafer cutting, produce solar cells and assemble solar panels.

In 2009, our second phase of production capacity of 350 MW was achieved.  For our third phase, our target is to reach 500MW-800MW. This target will place Ningbo Solar as among the largest PV manufactures in the world.
